I’ve always believed fashion is more than fabric—it’s a force for change. I’m Michelle Alleyne, a fashion strategist, sustainability expert, and unapologetic manufacturing geek on a mission to reimagine how we create, produce, and wear clothing.
My path started at Howard University, then took me through FIT and Parsons—but the real learning happened in the NYC Garment Center, where I got my hands on everything from production and sourcing to merchandising and development. Every role gave me insight into the challenges—and opportunities—within fashion’s supply chain.
I launched M SHOP as a boutique for avant-garde designers and A-listers, and it’s now a full-service consulting firm helping brands scale with purpose through ethical sourcing and sustainable systems.
I also teach at Parsons, FIT, LIM, and NY Times & Vogue Summer Schools, and I’m the founder of SustainableFashionPages.com, a go-to resource for conscious sourcing. Most recently, I launched The Ethical Stitch, my passion project podcast where I sit down with the movers, shakers, and quiet disruptors of sustainable fashion.
Whether I’m speaking on a stage, mentoring a founder, or recording an episode, I’m here to spark real talk, real solutions, and a fashion future that’s built to last—smart, stylish, and sustainable.
